I am (shakespeare) in love

The bitter-sweet moment when I am no one but a writer.

My poetry is personal and draws on the real emotions and happenings of my life. In this “diary” of sorts, I am often poetic, expressive, obtuse, ambiguous, brillant, broken, heart-felt. I write poems to reveal myself to myself - my inner-workings of my mind, my personality, my essence.

Kind, quirky, sweet, emotional, creative begins to describe my personality. Feeling lonely is the worst part of being me. Still, one of the best part of it is independence. The conflict of my story is an inner-struggle. I am the anti-hero who shoots herself in the foot at least as often as anything. I am a contradiction in terms.

I am just as likely to cry in your arms as I am to growl at you for the slightest offense.
I am wide-eyed and curious, but am suspicious of your bullshit.
I am vulnerable, but I can be shrewd and may look down my nose at you - becuase I am scared.
I am the bleeding heart that got hurt in love. Yes, for me, caution in love is a learned trait.
I will give him a second chance because I believe in our love story. I believe it.
